Good morning everyone . first off before I go on i have to admit to not knowing why this pic has shown up twice , (I really am not trying to show off lol with this one). This piece I did up for the fair in Sept to be put into be judged and i finally managed to come home with a first place at long last :o).I always try to out do myself at the fair and no one else ,so if I come in second or even third then that makes me look for that special piece that will out do the one before .
Well I guess that's all for the moment

Hi Everyone
I want to say thank you first for taking a look at my blog.I have never been one who thought my work was worth showing so I am
taking a biggggg leap here :o) .
Anyway a bit of about myself so you know
who you are reading about.
I am Cathy and been stitching for 18 years this month . i am also married to a terrific guy for 31 years this month as well so you can see that Oct seems to be a great month for me :o) .
My hobbies are cross stitching first and always , but then when I can get the pieces i also love to paint ceramics , and I am trying to teach myself to folk art paint ( I have done a small bit of that sort of painting ) and I am trying to teach myself to sew again I used to do that when our daughter was just a baby but with work and the cost of materials my sewing sort of got shoved to the back as they say .In the summer time I also love to putter around in my flower beds and once they are done I am able to sit out on my lawn swing and stitch where I can watch the hummimng birds while I stitch :o)
The first piece i have showing is a christmas tea towel that is done with metallics as well as DMC colours , the metallics really bring out the colour .
Well I guess that's it for now i look forward to showing more of my stitching
